Another serious injury was recorded in the chrome mine complex in Bulqiza, in the northeast of Albania.
The injured person, identified as miner Vilson Alla, was working in one of the galleries in area D, according to the local police of Bulqiza.
Alla had a serious accident on one of her legs, as well as suffered other fractures in her body. The accident victim was spotted by the other miners who were working with him, who gave him first aid and then notified the ambulance that sent him to the Bulqiza hospital.
According to the doctors of the Bulqiza hospital, the accident victim had severe fractures in his body, which forced them to airlift him by helicopter to the trauma hospital in Tirana, since the Bulqiza hospital lacks specialist doctors.
Meanwhile, the Bulqiza police and the investigative group supported by the Labor Inspectorate have started investigations into the causes of the incident.
The development is the latest accident from the Bulqiza mining plant, where it is reported that miners work in difficult conditions and without full security measures.
