Serious Crimes Prosection take over Elbasan criminal cases

10 days after a police road block in Elbasan was unable to stop a
suspect, the Prosecutor of Serious Crimes, Besim Hajdarmataj, ordered
the collection of all suspended cases in this city. All of them will be
investigated in Tirana.
Sources say for Top Channel that this decision comes after the local police asked for help. They insisted that the Elbasan case should stay at the serious crimes, avoiding the District Prosecution, since these criminal groups, according to the Police, are involved in traffic and blackmails.
Sources explain that the other prosecutors will join the team that are investigating the September 18th event, whose names will not be made public.
The three arrested suspects about the September 18th case claim they have no ties, since they were not caught in the act.
The Court of First Instance had already issued an arrest order about Klemend Xhaferri, who was arrested on his Range Rover.
As for the other two, Ledio Zabeli and Valmir Dedja, who were passengers on the vehicle, the court decided to leave them in prison.
Zabeli is accused of having 9 grams of cannabis, while Dedja has refused to open the gate when the Audi entered after hitting the police car.
This claim of the police is being verified, since the officers are seen standing in front of the open gate for several seconds.
