A serious accident occurred today at noon inside the main tunnel of the Tirana-Elbasan highway.
Two drivers of the cars that collided with each other, an “Audi” and a “Mazda”, were seriously injured in this accident.
From the images provided by Top Channel, it can be seen that the collision was so strong that one of the cars was completely destroyed, with its engine out of the body.
After the collision, the two drivers were trapped for several minutes in their respective cars, and were then rushed to hospital.
As a result of this accident, the traffic in the tunnel “Elbasan-Tirana” was temporarily blocked. This is not the first time that accidents occurr in the Elbasan-Tirana tunnel, some also resulting in fatalities.
