Serbian President Alexandar Vucic said that Serbia must not negotiate
for Ismail Morina’s extradition. The President says that they have taken
all measures for his extradition.

“We have done everything that was needed. I don’t know where you see a harsh offensive. Media outlets would write anything. We have the anniversary of Serbian exiles from Croatia. I hope there will be political understanding and without offenses, despite emotions. As for these criminal acts, I have nothing more to comment about”, Vucic said.

Morina is considered an Albanian hooligan, blamed for the interruption of the Serbia-Albania match. Serbian press says that Morina will be prisoned for encouraging religious hate and inciting hate between nations.

No one knows when these charges were raised against him, but media outlets say his brother has made threats if things will come to extradition.

James Montague, the journalist who has already written about Morina on New York Times, met with him at the Dubrovnik prison. He says that Croatia is between two fires, and while tensions in football matches are very common, Balkan gives them another dimension.

“I couldn’t recognize him, because he had cut his hair and his beard. It was evident that he was anxious not only about extradition, but also about his future. He has received many death threats and it seemed he fears for his life and that of his family”, James Montague declared.

The Extradition was requested by the Serbian Justice Ministry, while the case against Morina was filed by the High Prosecution of Serbia.
