“United Russia”, the political party of the Russian leader Vladimir
Putin expressed its support to the party of ethnic Serbians in Kosovo,
the “Serbian List”.
United Russia praised its efforts to fight for the rights of Kosovo Serbs and to improve their lives as part of the new institutions.
The Serbian List leader, Goran Rakic, met a delegation of United Party in Moscow, together with the Director of the so-called Office for Kosovo at the Serbian Government. The Russian delegates underlined that the Serbian political unity should be confirmed in the local elections as well.
“Russia respects Serbia’s politics in Kosovo. I am happy that the Serbian List has reinforced its positions and that all of Kosovo’s matters will be resolved with the opinion of the Serbian people. This is a good opportunity for imprioving the conditions of Serbs in Kosovo”, RTV quotes the Chairman of the Russian Delegation, Sergej Zheleznjak.
Gjuric underlined that for the first time since 1999, the government of Kosovo depends from the votes of Serbs. According to him this is a good opportunity for improving the position of Serbs in Kosovo.
Rakic thanked the Russian colleagues for the support, underlining that the strong ties with the Russian Federate are a good encouragement for the Serbian Population. He also invited Zheleznjak to Serbs in Kosovo.
