Serbia in early elections

Serbia will have early Parliamentary elections. The government of Serbia
will hold a meeting this Tuesday, in which they will make a proposition
to the President for the early parliamentary elections, which will be
held on March 16th.

Government sources say that President Tomislav Nikolic will declare the elections within this Wednesday.

The news has been confirmed by the Minister of Justice, Nikolla Selakovic. Serbia wants to confirm the citizens’ will, since the parties in power have a different composition from the votes that they have received.

The leader of the Serbian Progressive Party, Aleksandar Vucic, is the current Deputy Prime Minister, but it is thought that he is the one leading the government, since his party and that of President Nikolic is the biggest in Serbia.

This party, once in the same group with the radicals, was reinforced after the Democrats of former President Boris Tadic lost the elections. The decision will be taken after the Serbian leaders will return from Brussels, where they are discussing about Kosovo.

They will also answer who will organize the Parliamentary elections in Kosovo, where Serbs have the right to participate, due to the double nationality.
