Serbia, Helsinki Committee: N. Kosovo, a challenge

The Helsinki Committee for Human Rights in Serbia declared that the main
challenge in the dialogue between Prishtina and Belgrade remains
northern Kosovo, which is controlled from the Serbian parallel
structures.

In the annual report, the Committee declared that it is extremely important for the international community to remain united in their stance against the division of Kosovo.

After KFOR took the border checkpoints under control, the conditions for establishing the control of Kosovo authorities have been created, and the plan of Ahtisari should be implemented in that area.

In the last report, according to RTK, the organization evaluated that this stance eases the position of Belgrade, since the status quo in Northern Kosovo endangers the current government.
