The head of the Coordinating Group for Southern Serbia, Zoran Stankovic,
says that there’s no problem for Serbia if Kosovo and Albania want to
help the Presheva Valley, but the goal of this help should not have
political goals.
In an interview for Top Channel, he says that Serbia has the interest to cooperate with Albania and have economic projects.
“I would be very happy if even bigger financial means would be given for economic investments that would really help people work and realize their needs. We are not against those who want to help the development of this area, naturally, under a regional cooperation based on the international convents”, Staknovic declared.
Stankovic, whose work focuses on the Presheva Valley, underlined that the disagreements with the Albanians started after some misunderstandings and bad interpretations made, although after the meeting with the Serbian Health Minister they have valued the initiative for resolving problems there.
“The blackmail policy is no good for anyone. If we had clear agreements during this time, we would have resolved several problems for the Presheva, Bujanoc and Medvegja citizens”, Stankovic declared.
However, this government institution that deals with the problems of the Albanian people, asys that the internal dialogue should continue.
The Serbian government and the Albanian people had started the discussions regarding the verification of the Albanian problems, but this initiative didn’t last long, since the Albanian people interrupted their talks after being unhappy with the offers coming from the government. Stankvic declared that the Albania people should chose a flag of their own, which should be different from the Albanian one.
