The meeting between the Prosecutor General, Adriatik Llalla, and the EU
ambassador, Ettore Sequi, ended without official statements.
The Prosecution says that Llalla praised the help and support of the EU in reinforcing the investigating capacities and improving the legal framework.
The Prosecutor guaranteed Mr.Sequi that for the next mandate he will focus on war against corruption and organized crime, while Ambassador Sequi offered full guarantees and the EU support for the realization of the priority objectives of this institution.
Although the hottest topic remains the January 21st decision, given last week by the Tirana Court, which the Prosecution is expected to challenge at the Court of Appeal, this issue was not mentioned in the declaration.
