Sequi: Dialogue, basis of EU values

In a press conference, Sequi declared that dialogue is the foundation of the European values, although he didn’t address it to any of the political parties.

“Dialogue is the main value of the European Union. Harmony is not excluded from these values. Through this tour of concerts we want to promote the idea that you can approach to Europe”, Sequi declared.

Earlier this month, the EU Ambassador made a summary to what has been achieved and what has remained to be realized for the fulfillment of the 12 priorities for integration.

He declared that Albania is in a political situation much different from that of November, but he asked the parties to stand to the agreement of one year ago.

As for the four other priorities, the first one that are related to politics, Sequi valued the electoral reform conclusion but asked that it should be implemented and the law should not remain only on paper.

In an interview given a few times ago on Top Channel, Sequi declared that the immunity removal is only one side of the medal. The other is in fighting the corruption culture.

“Removing the immunity is a very important step, but clearly it is not enough. It will never be sufficient. War against corruption must be comprehensive, and it is a process per se”, Sequi declared.
