Self-Determination Movement MP, Rexhep Selimi, asked President Hashim
Thaci to resign, since he promised to transform the Kosovo Security
Forces into an Army.
Selimi said that Kosovo has no army because the government has lacked the will and vision to do so.
“You cannot play with the security and sovereignty of Kosovo. He did the same thing as Prime Minister, when he brought the constitutional amend for the KSF. He brought them so that could fail, and to reserve seats for the Serbian List”, he said.
Selimi added that President Thaci has withdrawn the KSF draft-law to use this topic in Brussels.
“Thaci is putting our country in danger, as he risked cooperation with our strategic allies, such as the NATO and USA. Kosovo needs its army, and NATO also needs it. It would be better even for NATO if Kosovo had its army, because it would take its own burden”, Selimi declared.
