The Self-Determination Movement congratulated the Kosovo Democratic League for the 30th anniversary of creation, reminding that it was created as a political, social and intellectual movement, led by Ibrahim Rugova.
“30 years ago it was a very hard time. 1989 was the year when the autonomy of Kosovo was surpressed by Milshevic’s regime. While demonstrations in Kosovo were becoming more frequent and stronger, the federation was dissolving and the people were looking for a Republic. The LDK it was created as a political, social and intellectual movement, led by Ibrahim Rugova. A lot of great efforts were made for freedom and democracy by thousands of devoted activists”, says the Self-Determination Movement.
