The Police of Kosovo has arrested in Prizren three activists of the
Self-Determination movement, who were gathered in front of the Communal
Assembly for expressing their dissatisfaction about the city’s
historical center, which is being reviewed by this assembly.

The spokesperson for the Prizren Police, Hazir Berisha declared for “REL” that the police had a light confrontation with Self-Determination activists.

“We have had a slight confrontation with Self-Determination activists. We had to remove them from the central gate of the communal assembly for breaking public order and for refusing the implement police orders. Three other citizens have been sent to the police, and all of them will be sent to the communal court with accelerated procedures”, Berisha declared.

The spokesperson for the Prizren Police declared that during this confrontation, three police agents have received light wounds.

The civil government and some opposition main parties have expressed their objection towards this draft-law, pretending that it is giving a more powerful voice to the Orthodox Church in Kosovo.
