Self-declaration application ruins consensus for Decriminalization Law

The Legislation Council gathered this Wednesday to discuss the sub-legal
acts for the decriminalization law. What was noted from the very
beginning were the differences between parties.

The consensus expressed when the law passed was destroyed after the Parliament’s Legal Office said that the sub-legal acts may not be approved by the Parliament since they fall against the Constitution. The famous self-declaration application form will be created with a sub-legal act.

The Democratic Party has presented 9 days ago their own proposition for the self-declaration application form, while the Socialist party did the same thing this Wednesday. The SP say they have sent their proposition for the self-declaration application form impartially, since the same thing has been done by the DP on February 23rd.

This was the detail that caused debates among parties, since the opposition opposed the proposition of the Socialist Party, by declaring that it damages the entire essence of the decriminalization law.
