Sejko, the only candidate for Governor at the Bank of Albania

It seems that Gent Sejko will be the new Bank Governor for Albania. The
Parliamentary Commission of Economy decided with consensus to accept the
President’s decree for appointing him on top of the Bank’s list, by
sending him to the Parliament for voting in a plenary session.
The voting will be held in the next session. MPs say that Sejkos appointing might be just a formality.
The candidate for governor at the Bank of Albania, Genti Sejko, presented his platform at the Commission of Economy.
Sejko declared that his priority will be transparency of protection of consumers’ interest.
The candidate for the governor said that it is important having a close cooperation with the international partners.
Gent Sejko added that he will focus in restoring the trust on the Bank of Albania.
Through a decree declared in the beginning of last December, the President of Albania, Mr.Bujar Nishani, proposed the the vice General Director of the “Societe Generale” Bank, Genti Sejko, as a candidate for Governor of Albania.
The President told the Parliament that Sejko’s candidacy was chosen among 42 names that had applied after a detailed evaluation process.
