After the explosion at the US Embassy in Ankara, the Albanian Police
declared that they have changed the security measures not only for the
US Embassy in Tirana, but also for the other diplomatic sees.
Lorenc Shehu, Head of the Public Order and Security declared for Top Channel that the “Tirana Police is taking constant measures based on what happened in Ankara. We have increased the police personnel, ground observations, control of parked cars near the embassy and the movement of automobile in some streets, in order to increase the safety of the embassy and prevent any tendency for crimes or terrorist acts”, Shehu declared.
The plans have also involved the sector against terrorist acts.
“These measures have been constant at the US Embassy and all other diplomatic residences. However, we have increased our caution after what happened in Ankara. We have engaged the ground observation unit, general patrolling units, units for keeping the security of important state objects and the services against terrorist acts”, Shehu declared.
These measures are taken each time that embassies in other countries come under attack.
