The Democratic Party has accused the government in the past days of
having strong connections with crime, by even saying that the drug
traffic has used the structures of the Armed Forces.
The opposition mentions even evidence by specialized secret and by different witnesses. One of these services was the Secret Service.
But this Secret Service has rejected the Democratic Party claims through a declaration issued by their leader, saying that there is no evidence for drug traffic using the armed forces or other government structures.
“The work of the Secret Service has been given to high authorities through classfified documents. We gave information not only about every fact that has been verified, but also on every reasonable doubt that might stop or prevent dangerous events for the security of our country”, the Secret Service Declaration says.
The Secret Service director demanded and end of what he considers speculations.
“The Secret Service appeals all medias and the politics to not damage the work of our institutions and the interests of our country just for their interests of the moment. We guarantee the public that the information in this case is not related with the inclusion of any state structure. We ask the judiciary institutions to bring to justice those who reveal classified information”, the declaration says.
DP: Testimonies reveal traffic
The Democratic Party declared through their spokesperson, Laura Vorpsi, that now there is public evidence for the drug traffic with airplanes.
“While the government cannot hide anymore, justice must investigate this scandal”, declared the spokesperson of this party for the media.
“New shocking evidence are coming out each day, showing that drug airplanes have landed in our territory, they have loaded drugs and have left. In Gjader, Lushnje, Kardhiq, etc, airplanes took drug and trafficked it in other countries. This is an unprecedented situation. Testimonies show that in seven months, the Rama-Meta government has let Albania in the hands of drug traffickers and drug has been spread everywhere. We ask the Prosecution and the to implement the role given to them by the Constitution and protect our republic from this threat”, declared the Democratic Party Spokesperson, Laura Vorpsi.
