Top Channel has been able to secure some of the information that the
Interior Ministry gave to the Albanian President and to the National
Commission of Security.

This information has details about the work of the Secret Service regarding the information given to the State Police. From January 2013 to February 4th 2014, the Secret Service has brought information about remotely controlled explosives for only three times. Only after the Interior Minister declared that they had no information from the Secret Service, they have immediately sent 11 reports in three weeks, although those data had no special importance for the police.

According to the report sent at the Presidency and Parliament, the Secret Service has informed the General Police 87 times with 30 pieces of information about organized crime, drugs and illegal traffics, and with 10 pieces of information for the economic-financial crime, and 45 other pieces of secret information which are secret, and requests for cooperation.

Two pieces of information were given during these nine months regarding the arms traffic, ammunition and explosives. One is related to the military weapons, while the other with remotely controlled mines.

From September 10th to December 31st of 2013, the Secret Service has informed the police 38 times, 11 times for drug and illegal traffics, 8 times for corruption, 18 times for cooperation requests or notifications about terrorist actions. The only information related to the traffic of explosives was given in mid December. The data didn’t show the time when the suspected activities were committed.

From January 1st to early February, when terrorist acts with dynamite have been the main concern for the public order, the Secret Service has informed 19 times, nine times for drug traffic, 2 times for smuggling, and only once for dynamite. According to the police, the information was given three days after the police had arrested the suspects. The information given by the Secret Service for the police arrived after February 4th, when the Interior Minister started the political debate and declared that the Secret Service is not cooperating with the police.

From February 4th to March 1st, the Secret Service has informed the police 41 times, 11 of which were for the traffic of weapons and remotely controlled mines. The Regional Directories of the Secret Service have given two pieces of information to local police, but none was valid or the persons had already been arrested.
