Searches continue at the Bulqiza mine for the three Chinese workers who were blocked inside since Saturday.
On site were the Deputy Minister of Energy and Industry, together with the Ambassador of China.
The rescue teams are trying to enter Level 21 of the mine, where a new airing system was placed this morning.
Deputy Minister Gezim Musabelliu said that four rescuers went down today, but they identified a high level of hydrogen at level 19. For this reason they were brought back up.
The Chinese Ambassador said there is still hope for a miracle: “The main task is to secure the life of our people. We will do everything possible to save them. I am very concerned and touched, but there is still hope that they have survived”, said Ambassador Jiang Yu.
The three Chinese workers of the “Xiang Engineering” company, subcontracted by “AlbChrome”, were blocked after a sudden hydrogen explosion. Three others were injured and taken to the Bulqiza hospital, out of life threatening danger.
