A high-level official of the Drenova prison has a falsified education
document, as proved by Top Channel’s “Fiks Fare” through the registers
of the “Petro Nini Luarasi” in Erseka. His average grade was raised to
10, from 6.5.
Origest Nevruz Lifo, Director of the Human Resources at the Drenova prison, has graduated from high school in 2000 and he results now with two identification numbers, when his sister worked as Secretary at this school.
His sister was fired after these corrections made to the register, and a report was made at the Korca Prosecution in 2014, but since January 30th 2015 the investigations were closed due to delays.
Top Channel’s journalists went to the school where the Director explained how a commission has verified the falsifications in 2006. Lifo refused to answer to journalists when contacted by then, but insisted that these are political attacks against him, since he is Chairman of the European Socialist Youth Fourm of Erseka, and because he wants to run for Mayor in the next local elections.
He says he has only used his diploma that has the 6.5 average in all institutions and that the falsifications of the registers were made to fire his sister. He also says he didn’t need the average for college, because he attended the private university UFO, for law.
The Tirana University confirms that Lifo has competed for Law, but he didn’t win.
