Sazan island will open for tourists

The island once used to prepare against invaders, will open its doors for tourists who want to visit Albania.
Tourist operators will be allowed to include the Sazan island in their packages, which offers a historic past and generous nature.
Milva Ekonomi, Minister of Tourism, said that the island will open on May 1st, and will be closed on October 31st.
The Minister of Defense, Mimi Kodheli, said that Sazan used to be habitable, and it may be an even bigger attraction since no tourist investment has been done so far.
The government wants to extend the visits of tourists by offering a wider variety of options. This indicator increased in 2016 to 6.4 days, from 5.6 that it used to be in 2015. Tourism increased with 15% in 2015, taking the total number of visitors to 4.7 million.
