Saranda, visited by tourists

The tourist season at the Saranda seaside seems to have taken shape. The
city and its suburbs have started to host hundreds of Albanian and
foreign tourists.

Interested on beaches and sand, tourists emphasize that food quality and services is good in this area. Some have noted pollution in small areas of Saranda’s coastline, but they think that it is a manageable problem and beaches are mainly clean.

Benjamin Simmonds is a British journalist, who says that he feels very well in Albania.

“It is the first time that I come here, and I am very pleased with the services. There may be things that need improvement, but I, as a tourist, have had no problems until now”.

Joseph Cushing from California says that it is his first visit in Albania too.

“The beach is beautiful and clean. Food and services have been very good. What is special in Albania is that prices are reasonable.”

However, Saranda’s infrastructure remains problematic. There are dozens of urban garbage stations, very near to the coast, from Saranda to Butrint. Another challenge for the tourists continues to be the entering road for the town of Saranda, which has been under construction for the last four years.
