Sander Lleshi, Rama’s advisor

Sander Lleshi, the general that was released from duty some weeks ago by
the Albanian President, Bujar Nishani, will be the Defense advisor of
the Prime Minister designate, Edi Rama.

The news was made public by Rama through an announcement published on his Facebook page, where he values Lleshi’s figure as one of the first people who reported the ruining of the Ministry of Defense.

Rama adds that he heard the general’s name for the first time by writer Ismail Kadare, who suggested him as an important candidate for President.

“After some communications I understood why our famous writer had thought that he would become a decent president. A man that was educated in the west, a good connoisseur of history, with intellectual modesty that characterizes the people with great knowledge. He was sent from a poor northern family to the doors of the Military High School, and his duty as Vice Chief of Staff was brutally interrupted by the ignorance of the outgoing government. Lleshi accepted to become my advisor for the defense”, Rama concludes.
