The National Institute of Statistics in Albania (INSTAT) has returned an answer today to the enquiery of the DP opposition deputy Ervin Salianji, regarding the delay in the publication of the Census data that started more than three months ago.
Deputy Salianji has requested clarifications from INSTAT about this important process, about the costs and the method followed, as well as about the concern of possible government interventions or interference.
For the first time, this institution was forced to make financial transparency, showing that 16.9 million euros have cost Albanians the census that started in September last year, whose data will be announced in June, according to the agency’s authorities, who did not provide further justifications for the delay.
