For the first time in history the Albanian police will engage helicopters in any case of emergency during the electoral process.
This will be a reserve measure, however. The Chief of Police, Hysni Burgaj, declared during the electoral campaign that the Albanian police has guaranteed 3312 electoral activities throughout the country and they will keep being ready for a second order.
Burgaj declared that there have been 44 incidents during the electoral campaign, eight of which before and 36 during the campaign. Most of them have taken place in Tirana, Elbasan, Shkoder and Vlore, mainly damages of posters and party symbols. But there have also bene threats and violence against political subjects, according to Burgaj.
Te Chief of Police declared that 6200 agents are engaged for tomorrow to guarantee a safe process.
