The Russian Embargo to Albanian agricultural products has not affected
the Albanian exports, according to the Minister of Agriculture, Edmond
Haxhinasto. However, he says that positioning ourselves in the Ukrainian
market is an important challenge for Albania.
The Minister said that besides regional markets in Kosovo, Macedonia and Serbia, Albania has exported in Germany, Denmark, Switzerland and the US.
Russia is one of the biggest wheat producers, but the embargo has affected this sector too. However, Panariti declared that most of the market is covered by the domestic product.
Panariti guaranteed that wheat sanctions will not affect bread prices.
