Head of the Socialist Party Assembly, Gramoz Ruçi, declared that May 8th
local elections were the biggest victory of SP in the last 20 years.

“There has been a high participation in these administrative elections. The behavior of the Albanian people in this campaign and on the voting day was admirable. I appreciate the interest shown by the international factor for this process. The public has never seen in the last 20 years the international factor being so active in the observing role. In the plan of the results, this was the biggest victory of SP in these elections, the biggest of the last 20 years,” declared Ruçi in Top Channel’s program “Top Story”.

“Albanian cities will be governed by the Socialists for the next four years. The Socialist Party has 101,000 more votes than the Democratic Party. These are numbers and facts”, said the head of the SP Assembly.

As for the Socialist Movement for Integration, Ruçi declared:

“The Democratic Party left a very big electoral space to SMI as part of the coalition. It is not merit of SMI, but of the space that DP left to them.”
