Romela Begaj is also declared world champion in snatch for the 63 kg
weight category. The 28-year-old lifted 113 kg and won thanks to a
smaller weight than the competitor from Kazakhstan, Karina Goricheva.
Begaj won the gold metal of the World Championship in Almati, Kazakhstan.
In Clean and Jerk she failed with the first try at 127 kilograms, but was able to lift it in the second try. In the third try she lifted 132 kilogram.
Romela Begaj, who competed for the first time in both races for the 63 kilogram category, was ranked seventh for both races with 245 kilograms.
This is the third gold medal that Albania wins in the World Championship of Kazakhstan. Yesterday, Daniel Godelli was declared world champion in snatch for the 77 kg category.
The Albanian 22-year-old lifted 171 kilograms in snatch and won a silver medal in clean and jerk, with 198 kilograms, and golden medal for both races with 369 kilograms.
Three golden medals and one silver is the best result ever achieved by Albanian players in a World Championship.
