Romanian presidency of the EU: “Support for Albania’s EU accession negotiations”

The Romanian Foreign Minister, Teodor Melescanu, declared that his country, which has the presidency of the EU, wants Albania and Macedonia to receive a clear invitation for opening the negotiations with the block.
“Our national position is to support an acceleration of the negotiations with Serbia and Montenegro, and opening new chapters for negotiations in the EU”, the Minister added.
As for Bosnia-Herzegovina and Kosovo, which are still at the initial phase, he said that there will be further discussions to see how they can support their European efforts.
