Robbery attempt at seized casino

A casino that had been seized recently by a massive operation undertaken by the state police in several districts, by order of the Interior Minister, Sajmir Tahiri, has been attacked by robbers during the first hours after midnight.

The robbers were in a group of four and they were able to remove a female police officer from the casino, together with two machines that they loaded in a van. But the police has sent another unit on time by blocking the two machines.

One of the robbers has allegedly been the owner of the casino, but there are still no reports about their arrest, although the police is following them.

All unlicensed machines have been seized this Tuesday, as the second step of the police operation. The second phase will deal with the licensed businesses that have not paid the tax obligations.
