Roads of death

The road section where the Parliament Member Sokol Olldashi lost his life has been identified by authorities as one of the most dangerous areas, where accidents often occur.

But this is only one of these dangerous spots that have at least three accidents each year.

These black spots on the map increase each year, and take many victims each year, mainly in national roads.

The cause of these accidents are mostly excessive speed, roads under construction, lack of signs, human imprudence and also the bad condition of roads.

In the days to come, Top Channel will bring a detailed view of each black spot, one of which is the Tirana-Durres highway, which has at least 39 black spots with at least three accidents each year.

Others are the Flaka, Sukth, Koxha, Kashar, Berxull and Vore overpasses, near Tirana, and also the road segments Fushe Kruje-Thumane, Lezhe-Shkoder, Lezhe-Milot, Lezhe-Shkoder, Kryebushat and Harku I Bistrices.

Un kukes, there are the Kukes-Morine, Kalimash-Kukes; while in Durres-Rrogozhina road there are the Vorrozina, Ballutaj areas, and the Zhame area in the Lushnje-Rrogozhine road.

The Elbasan-Peqin has been added recently with the Ura e Madhe area, where four people died a few days ago.

The dangerous areas in Fier are near Saver, Pushimi I Shoferit and Rrapa.

The Fier-Levan in Fier is also dangerous, together with the levan-Pocem-Tepelena axis. In the southeast of Albania there are the Dishnica-Devoll and the Korce-Erseka areas.
