Minister of Transportation, Edmond Haxhinasto, says that the fund that
goes every year for maintaining the Albanian road system is much lower
than the real need. He says the fund needs 80 million USD to compensate
the lack of maintenance.
The government has planned to allocate 4 billion ALL this year for road maintenance and safety. A project of the World Bank foresees a 130 million USD fund for road infrastructure.
The Mayor of Tirana, Erjon Veliaj, said that we need a better harmony between road infrastructure and pedestrian spaces in order to have the cities we want.
“This congress proves what we are trying to promote for this city, that all roads take you to Tirana. Thank you for making roads to Tirana”, Veliaj said in the organized event.
