Residents in Finiq don’t seem very informed about the street signs in Greek language that were placed by the municipality and then removed by the Albanian road authority a few days later.

Most of the population in Finiq belongs to the Greek minority and speak Greek. Some of them say there’s nothing wrong in having street signs in both languages.

However, the Albanian Road Authority was not notified about the signs, so they were placed there without their approval and were considered a danger.

The Mayor of Finiq says that there was no insinuation with the signs, and that very soon they will be placing next stings, once again in both languages, but this time by following the rules set by the Albanian Road Authority.
