MPs at the Commission of Productive Activities requested that licenses should be revoked to subjects that build against the law
The builders and architects associations declared in a hearing session about the new territory planning draft law, that the sanctioning of this measure is the only way to fix the construction industry.
“Licensed should have been revoked. We are late. When an illegal addition is built over an existing building, the constructor or architect should have his license revoked. When builders complete it without a project, their license should be revoked, because there is no safety”, declared Maks Muci from the Builders’ Association.
Another problem noted in the constructions after the 90s, is the lack of quality and standards for construction. “We are still with the standards of year 1989. The construction norms should be based on the eurocodes”, suggested specialist Avenir Kika.
Builders expressed their concern as regards the huge number of decisions that should accompany this law. They also requested that the deadline for the approving of the national plan should be closer, from 20 to 10 months away, in order to unblock the construction permits that have been blocked for five years”.
