Revenues from taxes increase

One day after Customs and Tax offices published the results for the
first semester, the General Tax Office announced that for the period
January-June of this year, the revenues collected from the tax
administration were 12 billion ALL more than the same period of the past
year, increasing with 17.1%.

According to the tax office, there has been a growth in both main revenue sources, taxes and social and health insurances.

For the first six months, taxes have collected in total 82.6 billion ALL, crossing the budget plan with 2.3%.

Together with the data reported by Customs one day ago, the revenues for the first period of the year have grown with 20 billion ALL, or 200 million USD compared to the same period of one year ago.

In the budget of 2014, the government has predicted to collect 40 billion ALL more than one year ago, half of which comes from the direct growth of taxes with the new fiscal package, while the rest, according to the Ministry, comes from good administering and fight against informality.
