This Thursday, as for several weeks, the residents of the area ‘5 Majit’, Lapraka and Paskuqan in Tirana, gathered in protest in front of the parliament to oppose the forceful demolition of their houses that are affected by reconstruction projects.
They then moved their protest to the US Embassy, where calls for justice and transparency were addressed to Ambassador Yuri Kim.
Prime Minister Rama previously assured the residents that no one will be left homeless and that through the contract offered by the Municipality of Tirana they will benefit housing units in the new buildings.
