The police, the army and civil emergencies are continuing their
operations in southern Albania. The situation seems to be more dramatic
in the Darzeza village, Fier, and also in Novosela.
The Police has increased its presence in some endangered districts. Fortunately, no victim has been registered by the floods, but the damages are huge.
The Prefect of Vlore, Etjona Hoxha, declared that the material damage are very big, but she didn’t give any official figure.
“However, the people’s life is more important. We have taken measures for the evacuation of residents where the situation is worse, and we have supplied food and water to other areas.
The Prefect explained that the emergency situation has been declared in the entire district and all state structures are in full alert.
Although the rain is over, the situation in Darzeza is still diplomatic. The water floods are still causing damage to the area.
The Albanian Prime Minister traveled to the flooded areas to inspect the situation.
