The Euroepan parliament asked the political class of Kosovo to not lose
precious time, but form a government that follows the European course,
and fulfill this way the two conditions for the visa liberalization.
The report of Ulrike Lunacek passed with majority of votes.
“This leaves Kosovo’s European perspective open. Kosovo needs a clear EU perspective in its path towards establishing the rule of law and economic development. This is why the political stalemate of the past months should end the soonest possible with the creation of a pro-European government and returning to constructive politics for resolving citizens’ problems”, Lunacek said.
The report underlines the border demarkation with Montenegro and also hitting corruption in its highest levels, as the key criteria for the visa liberalization.
It also underlines continuing dialogue with Serbia while there is an appeal to five EU countries which have not recognized Kosovo to finally take this step.
