This is the time for a new phase between Albania and Serbia. The
Albanian ambassador in Belgrade, Ilir Bocka, met with the Serbian
President and officialized his service.

The Serbian President declared that Albania and Serbia have had obstacles and tensions in their relations, but his country is ready for a deeper cooperation. He said that the visit of Prime Minister Rama in Serbia will be a positive step.

The Albanian Ambassador declared that this had a good reception in Serbia, and, despite the issue of Kosovo, both countries could have good relations.

“The fact is that Serbia has a high readiness to develop the relations with Albania, although there is an existing matter between Prishtina and Belgrade. There is dialogue, and it seems for the moment that it will not stop Serbia from developing relations with Albania in all sectors, without imposing conditions. This is a good moment for both countries and our people”, declared Ilir Bocka, Ambassador of Albania to Belgrade.

Bocka is a career diplomat who has led important posts in different diplomatic missions and also in the NATO.
