11 Albanian citizens and five foreigners were taken under police custody
after a wide anti-terror operation held in Albania, Kosovo and
Macedonia.
The operation was directed by the Anti-Terror Directory at the State Police, in coordination with the police of Tirana, Shkoder, Dibra, Elbasan and the Operation Forces of the same city districts.
The citizens were arrested for encouraging hate, for recruiting people to Syria and join ISIS, and for supporting this terror organization with logistic and funds.
The materials for these citizens were referred to the Prosecution of Serious Crimes for “Terrorism”, “Encouraging hate”, “Participating in foreign wars, etc.
The investigations are continuing in cooperation with the Prosecution of Serious Crimes.
