“Reforms that are not consulted with the public, are tyranny”, declared
from Vlora the Vice Chairman of the OSCE in Albania, Robert Wilton, at
the forum for the judiciary reform.
“Democracy with participation returns the citizens’ rights into reality. It also makes the reform stronger. A stronger reform guards more than just the interests of politicians”, Wilton declared.
He said that the reform needs the expertise of professionals, people who teach and practice justice, but also the opinion of those who implement justice.
“It needs the voices of citizens, above all, who will feel its action day after day. Consulting with the public saves time. If you don’t find enough time to make it accurate the first time, find time to do it again”, the diplomat declared.
This session of consultations was held at the Ismail Qemali University, in presence of lawyers, advocates, notaries, bailiffs and Law professors.
