Macedonia’s Parliament Speaker, Talat Xhaferri, said that the Albanian population have the goodwill to vote in favour of the referendum that finds an agreement with Greece for the country’s new name.
The vote of the Albanian electorate, in fact, is considered as very important, and for this, analyst Goce Pacemski refers to simple math, in an interview for INA.
“Albanian voters may be decisive for reaching the necessary threshold for a successful vote. But political parties will certainly try to make use of this, especially the opposition”, he says.
The opposition is accused of being two-faced in the process. In public, they seem to appease the international partners by supporting the Euro-Atlantic integration, but on the other hand, they are working to compromise the referendum.
