Since last fall, DP exponents Sali Berisha and Gazment Bardhi have joined numbers against the socialist majority, which continues to ignore their demands of the democratic parliamentary group.
After today’s meeting, they announced that civil disobedience will also take place this Thursday in the parliament, but 24 hours before the implementation of the scenario, there were also different voices among the democrats. First was Agron Gjekmarkaj who asked at the group’s meeting for a change of course, either radicalization or a return to normality, according to reports.
“We are 4 months into this action. We must be careful about this behavior. If we have been enthusiastic, we will have to be careful not to get the opposite result. I think we will have to make a decision. It doesn’t go on like this. Either radicalize it or return it to normal by sticking to our cause. We are facing injustices, but we will have to talk about them. I think we have to overcome this situation and make a decision on what to do”, said MP Gjekmarkaj.
Gjekmarkaj’s idea was also supported by Xelal Mziu, who proposed to find ways out of this situation and for the deputies to return to the field.
But for the MPs who follow the line of the former prime minister Sali Berisha, the disobedience must continue as long as the socialists do not accept the demands of the opposition.
“The disobedience continues”, stressed Flamur Noka, emphasizing that the Electoral Reform will be the headline of the opposition action as long as the democratic parliamentary group does not get what it wants; the sitting in the electoral reform commission chair of Oerd Bylykbashi as co-chairman.
“In compliance with the requirements of the OSCE, we have decided to resend the request for the composition of the Electoral Reform Commission”, said Gazment Bardhi.
The composition formula, which Gazment Bardhi talks about, does not envisage DP’s Enkelejd Alibeaj as co-director. Although he does not negotiate the leadership of the reform, Bardhi is ready to make a concession to Lulzim Basha, giving a place to the member in the special commission.
Bardhi’s proposal also received the support of deputy Ferdinand Xhaferraj, while his ally Agron Duka asked for a unification of positions.
