The US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State PhilipN Reeker met the
representatives of the new political fractions in Albania, the New
Democratic Spirit and the Red and Black Alliance.
NDS was represented by the former Albanian President, Bamir Topi, MP Gazmend Oketa and other members.
The center of the discussion was the situation of the state institution, especially the constitutional ones.
Reeker met the RBA leader, Kreshnik Spahiu, who expressed the purpose to run in the next elections.
“RBA will run in the next elections to bring down the current political system”, Spahiu declared.
He underlined that Albania is among the poorest countries in Europe, and he also gave the motives why the country is in this situation.
“Albania is among the poorest countries in Europe and this happens because it has the most corrupted government”, Spahiu declared.
“The Albanian state was taken this way because there are no more free elections in teh country. The institutions are being controlled same as during the communist system”, the RBA leader continued. Reeker than visited the Mejkes Explosive Plant, where he was updated with the dismantling process and the way how the plant worked.
