The case of the drug helicopter that crashed in Spain is being
investigated even in Albania. The Spanish have requested additional
information about the Albanian Major, Sokol Feka.
The Spanish and the Albanian investigators want to find who recruited the major. Their first suspicions fall on his brother in law, who has been sentenced twice for international drug traffic, once in Switzerland and one in Italy.
There is another investigation lead. In November, the Major has traveled to Great Britain, where he has been trained for several weeks. Police is investigating his contacts there. The fact that the helicopter is military, has made investigators to try and see if he has any ties with his colleagues outside Albania.
This investigation will be carried out by the Spanish investigators. During January, Feka has left Albania only once, and that might have been his first flight for this year. He has no financial movements in his bank account.
The Military Intelligence Service has no information about Feka’s movements. The arrest of his brother in law for getting involved in drugs, should have been part of the investigations even by the Military Intelligence Service, who seem to have overlooked this fact.
The armed forces are investigating, but sources at the Ministry of Defense deny the fact that there might be other pilots involved in this traffic, due to the inspections made for their movements. No one has moved from Albania in the past months.
