RBA: Albanian state risks collapse

15/11/2011 18:30

The Red and Black Alliance greeted the World Bank report and appealed
that the Albanian state risks collapse due to the high public debt
level, which, according to the RBA, is even higher more due to the
unreal numbers given by the government through the INSTAT.

RBA informed the Albanian citizens that the government is going towards the violation of the debt limit law, which was approved by the Albanian Parliament.

This law provides that the debt level should not pass the 60% of the GDP, while the World Bank declares that Albania is today at the 59.6% level.

RBA expressed the concern for not respecting the recommendations of the IMF, which suggested the government to keep the public debt level under 60%. The directive was to even lower it to 50%.
