Invited with the quality of a Prime Minister, the Socialist Party
leader, Edi Rama, participated at the ceremony organized for Croatia’s
accession to the European Union.
The Socialist Party Communication Department communicates that Edi Rama was congratulated for the elections by everyone who was present. Rama attended meetings with the Deputy Assistant State Secretary of the United States of America, Philip Reeker; with the European Union Commissioner for Enlargement, Stefan Fule; with the Slovakian Prime Minister, Robert Fico; the Deputy Prime Minister and also Foreign Minister of Slovakia, Miroslav Laicak; with the Prime Minister and also Minister for European Affairs of Denmark, Nocolai Wammen; with the Foreign Minister of Sweden, Carl Bildt and the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci.
The press release states that a mutual cooperation has prevailed in this meeting, where was shown the interest of these countries for the steps that Albania will take in the European Union integration path.
