The Prestigious American news outlet “Huffington Post”, published a long
article of the Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, dediacted to Pope
Francis and the message he brought in our country.
Rama started his article by saying that the visit of the Pope gave Albania international attention, but more important than this, was the message he gave.
Rama says that the first message is that of choosing our country for visiting Europe.
“He chose one of the poorest countries in Europe, and most importantly, he chose a country where the Muslim majority lives in full harmony with the Christians. He came as the universal spiritual leader against prejudice and divisions based on ethnic, social or trust grounds. The Pope was welcomed by Christians and Muslims alike”, the Prime Minister declared.
“This is a miracle in a world where violence and conflicts increase each day”, according to Rama.
The article says that the Pope chose to visit Albania and the Albanian people on the year when the Albanians and the other people of the region joined in a cooperation process.
