Rama: “With Serbia we won the golden points of national honor”

“Albania lost on the football field with Serbia, but won three golden
points as a country and as people”, was the message given by Edi Rama in
a press release this Friday, where he thanked all football fans for the
civilized behavior.
“We lost on the field, but outside it we showed high level of dignity and civility. We surprised even the adversaries. We failed to keep the golden points that would take us to France, but we kept the sportive civilized culture which gave us as a people three golden points”, Rama declared.
The Prime Minister said that the country would have lost much more if our fans would have fallen prey of violence scenarios.
“Not a single racist chant was heard for 94 minutes. Not a single Serbian player was attacked. I greet with the highest gratitude all football fans who passed this test. Albania came honored from it”, Rama declared.
