Socialist Party leader, Edi Rama, declared that the opposition remains
interested for international assistance regarding May 8th local
elections, not only for the results, but also for the fate of the
country and of justice in Albania.

Rama underlined In a press conference that the opposition accepts the opinion of the Commission of Venice or any other international institution, emphasizing that the obstacle for this remains Prime Minister Sali Berisha, who, according to Rama, changed the rules through CEC when the race was not over yet.

Rama declared that the legal battle will continue until the end. He asked justice to bring justice for May 8th local elections in Albania.

“We have won the race in front of the eyes of millions of people. We will remain the winners, even if the court will say the contrary. But today there is much more than this in stake. We must see who will win, justice or injustice”, Rama declared.

Socialist Party leader emphasized that CEC cut all connections to Constitution and rule of law.

Rama also declared that the law violation committed by CEC for overturning the result of Tirana mayoral race was seen by millions of eyes, and has been denounced even by the international partners and friends, in their diplomatic language.
